Baby Nathan

Baby Nathan was born to the family on the 24th April 2006 @ 1131p.m. @ Mt Alvernia Hospital, Singapore. He weighed 2510grams and measured 49cm at birth. He is a 34th week baby, a premie, who spent 7 nights at the ICU before he returned home on May 1st.

3 months old

Nathan is 3 months old as of 25th july, Monday. He weighs 6.2kg, head circumference of 42.2cm and body length, 58.4cm. His weight has more than doubled since birth (2.5kg) within a span of 3 months, a very good sign.

We brought him to the clinic for his 2nd HB jab, he was distracted by a yellow duckie, and only gave brief cry. He is still having discomfort from reflux, some good days and some bad ones.

We tried bringing him for dg bs at church office, but he was not 'behaving', wailed for a while, then I needed to feed him, and Chong took his turn to walk him, basically, its either me or him not around at anyone time. It was a good try nevertheless, if we never tried, we never know if we could make it. Definitely, meeting at homes would be far more conducive.

Time passed rather fast, though there were days when I thought it never ends ... He is already 3mths old!! Seeing his chubby cheeks and little 'thunder' thighs make my heart glad, comforting to know that breast milk is sufficient for his needs. So I should continue to perservere ...

So glad to know that little didi is growing so well despite his reflux. It's really God's protection upon this precious baby. Auntie Caris must also be doing a fantastic job taking care of him! BTW, my head circumference is only 42 cm leh. Doc says my head's a bit small. Mummy says maybe I'll grow up to be an EM3 kid (HaHa!). Looking forward to seeing you next week!

no lah, nonsense, what em3 kid?? Head big doesn't mean bigger brains either. Even if a babe has a larger head circumference, his brain could be tinnier... of course i'm hoping this does not apply to my darling boy boy. He does have a round cute head, just like the dad's. Passerby often comments about his head and hair.
